Microsoft Outlook (General Computer Question)

Posted on 11/17/2017 3:36:44 AM PST by ducttape45

I have a general software query I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm trying to find, if something even exists, a plugin or add-in for Microsoft Outlook that I can use that can give me a "File Explorer" -ish look and feel to the program. I have lots of emails I'm trying to go through and if I had something that made navigating the thousands of emails I got more easily it would make my job a lot more pleasant.

And please, this is a serious request, so no snarky remarks about using other programs and no Microsoft haters. I don't like using it anymore than many of you others but it's what I'm stuck with.

I'll check back during the day for your suggestions. Thank you.

I know how to navigate Outlook pretty well. I've been using it for many years. What I'm looking for is something that will give it the look and feel of Windows/File Explorer.

I know the emails are stored in a .PST file, but I'm hoping that I find something that does more than just move/delete folders like Pandali Folder Master. I'm trying to find something that will also move/delete emails in much the same way. The search function doesn't allow a user to search for emails and then move/delete them like you can in a file explorer environment, and that's what I'm trying to find.

Oh.

Well, given how knowledgeable you are about Outlook, and about how easy it is to use Google, I think you can solve this supposed problem (not a very big problem for such a knowledgable fellow, admittedly) yourself.

So sorry about offering such useless help, given that I could not find what version you were talking about or about what the exact nature of your problem was from the OP.

Have you played with the View options? Turn off the date groupings, the reading pane, etc. Doing a right click on the Received column will display grouping options to turn off. Some of these options are fairly hidden, but the end result will be a single line listing of each email.
