For those of you who have read Travis's books and enjoyed them, I wish to point out they are in an entirely different genre than Collateral Crimes. His are what are known as "dystopian fantasy" books, whereas Collateral Crimes is a crime thriller. Also, while the "Collateral Crimes" begin with an ATF gun running operation, this is not a political book and it does not contain any political preaching.
If you're looking for conservative manifestos (or how to sail), read Travis's books. Apparently many people do read them and enjoy them immensely.
But if you're looking for escapist entertainment, Collateral Crimes might be more to your liking. It's sort of The Fugitive meets Romancing the Stone.
