It is difficult to take an article at face value (no matter how well researched) when the writer doesn’t know the difference between the words “confident” and “confidante”, so instead of checking for the correct word, ‘splits the difference’ with “confidant”.
Lazy and unprofessional, causing doubt regarding the accuracy of the report.
