Newt Gingrich said no way can the Senate expel a duly elected member.

U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 5, clause 2: "Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member."

Thanks. I stand corrected. Maybe Newt meant that the accusations so far would not be sufficient for expulsion. Furthermore, the alleged behavior occurred 40 years ago.
