Pre-trial motions hearing Dallas Bandido Jake Carrizal set for March

A pre-trial motions hearing for Dallas Bandido Christopher Jake Carrizal is set for March 16, 2018. The motion was filed on Monday.

Channel 6 Legal Expert Liz Mitchell said, in theory, the role of Carrizal's trial in the series of Twin Peaks biker trials was supposed to set the precedent for how the other 153 bikers would be handled. Mitchell said generally the state would want to begin with the case they deemed to be a lock.

In other words, prosecutors would lead with the case most promising of securing a life sentence.

Then, the other bikers would see what evidence the state has and would be encouraged to take plea deals. “Every time you try a case you feel that it is a slam dunk,” said Mitchell. “But it is always a gamble. You're convincing twelve people beyond a reasonable doubt that something happened on a day where they were not there. For this trial to end in a mistrial is defiantly a devastating blow for the state, but not one that's insurmountable."

So does this mean they are going to try him again after the hung jury last week?

So does this mean they are going to try him again after the hung jury last week?

It sounds like this is the first part in the process to retry him.

It doesn't mean that they won't decide at some point to dismiss the charges.

Regardless of what may have gone wrong, District Attorney Abel Reyna says this won't stop their case.

"Our intention is, I'm not giving up, and our intention is retry him," said Reyna.

Maybe the next time there won’t be any biker gang ‘friends’ on the jury.

Two things are prerequisites for Reyna to get convictions.

1. Nobody who knows Reyna.
2. Nobody who has ever been to a Confederation Of Motorcycle Clubs And Independents meeting.

I don’t see convicions happening even If Reyna works on his railroad all the live long day, everyday.

Yep! Those dudes know what would happen to them if they voted to convict!

We who have been to those meetings know for an irrefutable fact that they are boring recitations of bills in the legislature.

I went to one years ago where the main topic was preparing to comply with an impending law requiring two mirrors on your bike instead of just one.

So people who have actually attended such meetings hear unhinged lunatics like yourself pushing that same notion from the prosecution and assume everything else from the prosecution will also have to be sifted to see if any connection to reality exists in it at all.

LOL! A few years ago I once stayed at a Holliday Inn!

Dude, it is all a front for extracting ‘dues’ from all the MC’s paid to the dominant MC in the region!

Look at all the leaders of the CofC districts! In Texas they are all Bandidos!

I know that you are fairly densd, (okay, osmium dense) but the meetings were to find out what bills were in the legislature. And if they were likely to pass and how could we either work to block passage or work to advocate for them.

The Bandidos ran the show in Texas. The Bandidos collected the money. Some of the money goes to the fancy lawyer in NY.
