Roadsters. I have owned a couple and they are truly something that you have to do once in life at a minimum but they are very hard to live with on a daily basis.
I was looking at my first one when I was newly married and about 22 in the early 70s. An old guy (who was probably younger than I am now) told my wife and I we better buy the one I was looking at as it would never be practical in life again until I was his age. Scared me so bad I bought it that day.
My Alfa 4C is my first roadster,convertible. Although I did have a couple of Trans Ams, corvettes with T-tops back in the day.my Alfa is strictly a toy car, there is nothing utilitarian or “everyday” driver about it. But it is one of the most fun cars I’ve ever driven, it’s a little beast.
If you can find a Sky Redline buy it. They kick ass, and they’re probably going to be the next sunbeam tiger...
