Dogs are still being euthanized...healthy and adoptable dogs. I do not give a hill of beans that they may be pitmixes. When I was a kid, tbe animal control shelters had a wide range of dog breeds. Now they are primarily pitmixes or chihuahuas courtesy of the large number of illegals who have no sense of responsibility towards their charges.
As I mentioned, breed rescues pull everything pure and often mixed, for their particular breed.
There are some bully breed rescues but not near as many as purebred.
Hence, the pit/pit mixes get left behind, plus the issue of the maggots who breed them incessantly.
*Small* breeds are in highest demand and they’re the money dogs so they’re being brought in from all over hell’s half acre.
