Lets be very clear. We aren’t talking about legal proceedings. We aren’t talking about anyone going to jail. We are talking about peoples reputations.

So “rule of law” really doesn’t apply. No one is being judiciously punished.

We are talking about either sexual assault, or slander and defamation of character, both crimes. The accused has the right to the presumption of innocence, and the accusers have a right to have their cases heard.

Of course, if the accused filed criminal charges, we might find out who the liars are. That they don't is also telling.

Either the accusations are lies, or they really are victims. Or maybe a combination. Either way, do we want to support this with our money?

If a persons livelihood and reputation are destroyed; they are indeed being punished. The only thing left is their freedom.

A famous person would probably have to leave the country if it was bad enough or stay in their home all the time which would be the same thing as taking their freedom.

So yes; they are being judiciously hurt. The only question is the degree so there better be proof and if there isn’t; I hope that person wins in civil court taking everything from their accusers so they then find out what it’s like.

Gossip is not proof.
