Any fans of ham instead of turkey on Thanksgiving? Nah, me neither. But turkey AND ham?...plan ahead, plan a big gathering, and feast like a king off the remains for the next week.

Pair with big, buttery chards, but if you're a fan of the cranberry sauce, consider a nice pinot or grenacha based rosé. Complex, yet not too sweet.

We did a smaller turkey and a sliced ham one year. Worked out well but had way too many leftovers.

This year I think we will make an extra pan of dressing, to go into the oven after we start eating. Gets finished baking about the time we are ready for seconds.
