I am not sure there is one leader. But the head of The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE), Howard Marion McLarin is one of them. Othera are the guys running Freddy Mac and its sister organizations Fannie and Sallie. These three pay more for lobbyists than anyone else.
But there is a fight for what exists now. which is controlled by large lobbying firms, rich Pacs, and heads of committees and appointed officials who can stay in power longer than the elected politicians that appointed them.
These people make sure that spending never goes down. No matter what happens to Taxes. These folks always fight for the spending. And they fight against government efficiency or worker productivity.
Can Trump Union bust the The National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE)? Sounds like it's a money laundering outfit. Make sure the spending keeps going. That's Taxpayer money NFFE. We work hard and send it to you guys? Enough of that.
And this Freddie, Fannie, Sallie business. When were they last investigated? Audits for each one? What do they really do? Are they really necessary? Just another branch of the octopus that has become D.C.
What would the Founders think of Freddie, Fannie and Sallie?
And call me naive, but this whole K-Street lobbyist thing sounds like another gravy train for everyone. Can Trump bust this whole lobbyist mess?
It really hit me when I heard McConnell ran the Obamacare Replacement bill by his K-Street buddies first before sending it to Congress.
As my Grandpa used to say, "This just isn't right."
The bottom line is they all act like they have a blank check to do anything they want. They forget, or don't care, that it's hard earned taxpayer dollars.
One of my hopes and dreams after Trump got elected is sometime during his eight years there he does an 'agency consultation' a real world business consultation of each agency and dept to determine their job description, efficiency, productivity, profit and loss, etc, a real evaluation. Half of the people would be fire. How many floors in all the buildings in D.C. are really needed.
Downsize the Swamp! That would be a real tax cut.
