It was even after this that the “Storybook wedding” of Prince Charles and Diana took place.

He was 32, she was 19.

No one said anything about the age gap.

It wasn’t just Alabama. It was London and New York City, too.

After her debut at 16-18, a young woman was on the market for courtship and marriage.

This was before the so-called sexual revolution.
