And it's particularly significant that the perpetrator was not only able to return to the US Senate afterwards, but also was hailed by the media as the "liberal lion of the Senate" for as long as he had a discernible pulse.
You know what a message that sends to all the other wannabe miscreants and shysters, when they see such a big one as that slip through the net. It never stops with just one.
And to think, he was a serious threat at one time to become POTUS, too — sheesh.
