OK.
Over the past decade Virginia has been invaded by illegals. The changing demographic of the state is undeniable. The same is happening to Florida as Orlando becomes a suburb of Puerto Rico. I hate to be a pessimist, but I am. As we were electing feckless members of the GOPe club they have been actively implementation a plan that makes Obama's promise of a fundamental change look like child's play. Our choice is either to acquiesce or fight and since I can't think of more than a handful of folks who take what's happening seriously, I think we'll slowly slip away into the dust bin of history.
See....the difference between you and I, is I have finally learned after all these years to think strategically. I could have cared less about Gillespie....and, I cannot stand GW Bush...but, Virginia has two empty suit moron US Senators and, I want to see Tim Kaine get slaughtered politically next year.
I reasoned that if Gillespie was the Governor the road to the Senate for Corey Stewart would have been make a bit easier. I was wrong.....but, if you don’t succeed at first, try, try again!!! Have a great day, Amigo!!!

Doesn’t matter to the RINOS as they’d much rather have a Democrat win than someone pro-Trump. We basically have to take down the whole establishment here.

He inspired nobody. I voted for him, but did not send him any money as I did other candidates. Unfortunately, all the Republicans who refused to go out into the rain and cold to support a squishy RINO hurt the down ticket candidates, potentially costing the Republicans the State House.
The Democrats well understand how open primaries work, which is why they come out and vote for the RINOs in the Republican primary. The GOP should nominate by convention rather than open primary. I believe Cuccinelli, nominated by convention, came much closer to winning and that was with very little support from the Republican establishment.

Good vanity post senor Grayfox. We win some we lose some. Mostly we have been winning but VA is part of the leftist DC world. We can hope for hearts and minds in that area to wake up and even work to make it happen but in the end the better message wins.
I worry about coming generations that have been brain washed and indoctrinated by both the education/indoctrination system and their peers. Millennial’s seem to be comfortable with the gender confused Sodom and Gomorrah culture the left is pushing and breeding. That kind of culture will eventually implode leaving a ruined society which I think most of us Freepers know is the Marxist long term goal.

He, the Democrat trailed Clinton by about 200,000 votes. Had Gillespie opted to tie in with Trump he probably would have win this election.
I never give up!!! I always get back up, dust myself off, and go out an fight again, as I see it. And...I am far too old, over-the-hill, and along in life, to let any criticism set me back!!! I march to the tune of my own drum, and let the chips fall where they may.
