For those nervously posting Loose Lips memes, be aware the EAM channels are in the clear, and have been public knowledge for a LONG time.

Any state these might be directed at would already know the messages are being transmitted. They wont necessarily know how to translate the codes (and I have not seen any code translation here), but every nation on the planet that could potentially care that EAMs are being transmitted knew it long long before this thread appeared.

There are web pages dedicated to EAM messages (some have been linked in this thread) - noticing when EAMs are transmitted is almost a hobby for some of those folks.

You may think that just because it is open to the public and everyone knows that it’s okay to talk about it, but I can assure you from experience that not everyone in the government and in positions of authority agree with you.
