There is nothing like a truck, and there is nothing like a Ford. Although I had to leave my F150 in the USA, I brought a full kit E350XL overseas with me.
The roads here are terrible but the super strong frame on the E350 along with the clearance and the V8 get me through just about anything.
And everybody wants my E350 when I leave.
Where’s “Here”?
I’d love to have a pickup, just for the ability to throw stuff in the bed when needed. But their popularity has priced me right out of the market. I’m hoping to find a nice used one someday. There will be plenty on the back end before long, that’s for sure.
For years, pickup trucks made a fine little two-passenger coupe, with a great deal more utility. The addition of a rear seat and extended-cab and four-door models greatly blurred the distinctions between what the pickup had become, and the common two and four door sedans, with a great deal of practicality in terms of handling tough situations and durability, as well as somewhat improved visibility for the driver.
More than anything else, pickup trucks project POWER.
Something to do with male sexual apparatus, I think.
