If people want to work and earn money on Thanksgiving, I say let them work. It’s their business, not mine. They need money, not an online ‘Compassion Tweet & Smiling Emoji from me.
think about who's working at essential jobs on holidays....
Well said. I am not sure I could improve upon your post. :-)
Lots of people have to work on holidays which is a drag but it beats the alternative I guess.
I am sure many of the warehouse people aren’t choosing to work on the holiday. They just weren’t given the option not to.
Working on the holidays is great at the hospital. I know the CEO won’t pop into the nurses lounge for me to shake his hand. While we are at it let’s boycott war.
The production side of the company I work for will be working Thanksgiving. Our current customer required, in the contract, that we work 2 10 hours shifts per day, seven days a week, for the duration of the project. Our customer is a division of the U.S. government. Those who choose not to work those kinds of hours are free to pursue other employment opportunities. That’s just the way it is. I would be surprised to learn that Amazon is not a 24 hour a day 7 day a week company.
