I remember when my grandfather got into an argument with the neighbors. The husband was smart and stayed indoors while his wife started yelling at my grandfather (right in his face).
Grandfather said to her “start acting like lady or I will forget that you are one.”
I know that he would never hit her but the point was well taken and she promptly stopped.
Yep, not when you hit a cop. During an argument with a long ago girlfriend, she got angry and came up with a right hook I caught with my right hand just before she connected, and said don’t do that. She was shocked I caught her fist, but that ended it.
