Slapped cop throws devastating punch at female football fan

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Police are investigating a videotaped altercation where an apparently intoxicated University of Miami football fan slaps an officer, who then punches her in the head.

She flails at one officer and misses, then slaps him in the face. He hits her in the head with his right fist, causing her to crumble in the officers’ arms as she is carried out of camera range.

It appears he was looking away and his right hand was down in a casual manner. Like he was brining home a sack of potatoes from the store on a Sunday afternoon.

A little more situational awareness may have prevented him from getting smacked in the first place. At least may have prevented his instantaneous reaction by being surprised with the slap.

I believe a cop can use reasonable force to restrain a person to enforce a detention. If she attacked him, in the course of an apparition, that is felonious assault.

The difference between reasonable men and women here on FR and antifa is;

Antifa hates all cops, and by extension, society at large.

The reasonable people on this forum (for the most part) can judge a situation on a case by case basis on it's merits.

This case is clear cut. For you, or anybody to defend the Officer's actions is ludicrous and not worthy of a good American citizen.

Of course, we haven't looked in the Officer's jacket yet. Past policy violations may indicate a higher level of discipline.
