I didn’t know about SHS, I only have over the air channels and miss most of the news. But yes, she does come across as a nice southern lady.
I remember when I was around 11 a young fellow at church proposed to his love.
He was a hard working farm boy of 26 who never spent a dollar he didn’t have to. He walked to church rain or shine and only used the farm truck for farm business. He was well thought of by everyone.
She was a sweet young lady of 18 loved by young and old alike.
He had courted her every Sunday since she was 13. First with “family visits” then sitting out when she turned 16.
When he proposed he presented her with a beautiful pair of pearl ear rings.
When she protested about the cost he told her he had been saving for them since she was 13. He never doubted he would marry her.
They are still together, still in love, still inseparable and those pearl ear rings are still her most prized possessions.
Each of her three daughters wore them at their own weddings as the “something borrowed”.
Oh, man... what a sweet story.
