SNL. You mean that show that poached NatLamp’s talent and were kinda funny for a while?
I'm watching SCTV reruns and they are still funny.
Mainly because they didn't really do too much "political" stuff and went for the laugh, rather than cheap shots at whatever politician was in office.
Political "humor" has a very short half-life.
I remember a lot of SNL skits that are simply not funny nowadays.
I remember Dan Aykroyd as Nixon and Jimmah Carter.
Only a couple stand out.
The few "funny" episodes are when Jimmah went into Three Mile Island and became 100 feet tall. Also the one where Jimmah was a talk show host and talked a guy down from a bad drug trip.
Like "Fridays", drug humor is very dated and frankly stupid.
