If these morons knew anything about the species it wasn’t a romantic encounter...One Alpha male was dominating the other submissive male...Maintaining chain of command the easy way vice a fight to the death for one of the lions.
Wolves do the same thing, if you have ever observed wolves there is always an Alpha male in every pack, when he feels it’s necessary he will grab one of the other males by the throat, they either fight or the submissive male shows the Alpha his underbelly...So, either a wolf dies or he submits. Pretty damn simple. Good order and discipline animal kingdom style.
But there was no boning!
It is easy to see a gaping wound on the submissive male’s nose.
There has obviously been a resent battle.
