Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his ACL in practice Thursday. ["Horrific" headline does not appear to be verified by the news report - but, obviously, he was having a great rookie year and is now out for the season.]

Texans signing Matt McGloin as backup.
Kaepernick stays unemployed.
‘McGroin’ is worse than Savage.
All the local sports talk stations are clamoring to sign Colon Kraperdick... well, there goes 10% (or more) off the asking price of my PSL’s (I am an original PSL holder for the Texans, but sold my whole season).
not much demand for basket weavers or finger painters I’ll wager.
Damn. Just damn. He was on his way to maybe the greatest rookie season ever.
TMI.
So gonna he hard for him to kneel the rest of the year...
I enjoyed watching him play when he was at Clemson.
It was rhetorical
It failed
That would be High School Wrestling, 138 lbs of tiger-meat on an all-titanium frame.
Im a Clemson fan too and I wish he had stayed on another year at Clemson and not got mixed up in kneelgate
He should have found another job.
Under those circumstances I don’t give a damn.
This young man donated his first paycheck, $27,000 to 3 three cafeteria workers whose homes were destroyed in Hurricane Harvey. What a fine, classy gesture and an example to a league full of no-class clowns. I am very sorry to hear this young man was injured. I hope he makes a full comeback.
My cable package is part of my rent, so I'm paying ESPN whether I watch it or not.
As to NFL sponsors - I have a land line phone, so all cell phone ads are useless on me - I walk or use public transportation, so all car ads and car insurance ads are useless - I don't drink, so all beer ads are useless - I like McDonald's, but their prices are absurdly high, so I rarely eat there.
Bottom Line - What exactly has changed in the NFL? All the players who hate the USA and hate white people felt exactly the same way last year. All the players who have contempt for American values and traditions felt exactly the same way last year.
What took you so long to get mad?
“My cable package is part of my rent, so I’m paying ESPN whether I watch it or not.”
Cable companies know which channel you’re tuning in and they count you as one of the ESPN viewer, thus you increase their specific audience size.
“All the players who hate the USA and hate white people felt exactly the same way last year.”
Perhaps, but at least they didn’t blatantly and arrogantly spit in your face, now they do so and you take it because you’re hooked. Whether or not you buy any of their products is immaterial, just watching someone that hates what you believe in should be enough to turn you off. Simply a case of self respect. Instead you have worked real hard coming up with rationalizations so you can continue with your habit.
Let me ask you, if you had an acquaintance who suddenly started calling you a racist and insulting you in other ways, would you continue having anything to do with them?
The Texans/Seahawks game was real corker.
I had no idea who would win.
O/T,but how on earth did this injury happen?
During practice, the QB wears a red shirt, meaning: "Don't hit this guy".
I'm surprised just taking snaps and throwing, maybe scrambling a bit could cause an ACL tear.
Unless some oaf on the practice squad tackled/ hit him at an awkward angle, I'm perplexed how this could occur.

All indications point to Watson being a pretty decent guy with his head on straight.
Prayers for his health.
If so, wondering how Geragos knew ahead of time about Watson’s knee...
Where’s Wikileaks when you need it?
