I was involved in independent film a while back, directed a feature that made one film festival, but that was the end of the run for me.

Anyway, my experience with actors has been that they are mostly an odd group of people. Not a lot of common sense, and not an awareness of other people's boundaries.

Doesn't apply to all of them, of course, but there was definitely a learning curve when I had to deal with them.
