How is the truck attack a cowardly act? I have absolutely no defense for the murderer and think he should be summarily tried and executed. However, really, how was his attack cowardly? He ran over people knowing what the consequences were going to be and jumped out with useless "guns" knowing he would be shot. How is that cowardly? Takes a lot of guts (no pun intended at all), if you ask me.
When law enforcement should be saying we are going to kick asses and take names, all they can say is that this was a "cowardly act". Looks like the real cowards in all of this are the leaders of the NYPD for not rounding up every potential muslim radical in that city and putting intense pressure on them. Then, after finding out at which mosque they worship, going after those leaders. Now, THAT would be a courageous act, but, it would incur radical criticism and the NYPD are too cowardly to do what is right. So, they just call the terrorist a coward. What kind of attack would make him NOT a coward? Please do tell.
I am not trying to get people to agree. Really. I want more people to ask why the NYPD is not taking severe and harsh action to round these people up. They already know who a lot of them are.
Excellent point. Correct. Wish more people could see it. A little less talk and a lot more action needed.
Exactly. THAT is the point I was making.
Bravery is the overcoming of fear in order to get an outcome that will be positive for the greater good.
These guys are depressed and fearful that if they don't die in jihad, their situation will never get better in the afterlife. They will die a shameful death and not receive their immortal reward.
So, they kill innocents because they are scared to die without martyrdom. They are not brave. They risk nothing and sacrifice only other people's lives for what they see as their own betterment.
Law enforcement is being ordered to stand down by higher-ups. That much is clear.
Of course we want to defeat the enemy.
Doesn’t change the fact that cowardice and bravery are opposites.
They minimize themselves with their cowardice.
To beat them, all we need is our military and a president with the attitude of a Donald Trump.
Because that’s worked so well for the past 16 years.
He attacked a group of unarmed people from behind. Disgraceful.
A brave suicide would be jumping off a tall bridge into a rocky ravine, or wrapping a car around a telephone pole at 100mph or jumping off a cruise ship with a steak around one’s neck, if they feel a need to suicide in carnage. Cowardly is taking innocents with you. The coward Robert Ford was a coward not only because he shot Jesse James in the back, but because he couldn’t do it alone - he had to involve his brother who he later paraded as a sort of trophy stand-in for his macabre reenactments of James’ death.
Kabuki
I was just listening to a clip of Bill De’ Blasio saying we know this act was intended to break our spirit...
No, it wasn’t, Bill.
The act was intended to kill innocent Americans, and it succeeded.
And people like you have made it possible.
I want these murdering muslim beast out of my country right now, all of them.
And I want their American enablers gone too.
No more of this.
Our current victories over isis are the result of fighting the American way.
Not by adopting a crazy leftist idea of undergoing some kind of metamorphosis so that we become our enemy.
I think the idea is you are weaponizing something against people who are defenseless. Takes zero courage to do this. You know you’ll kill people with little resistance.
I hope he lives. It’s probably time to sharpen up the recreational water board skills.
Right on......our government is oblivious
Whether it is an ass playing the knockout game, Antifa asses turning on someone without warning with a club or chain, a rapist assaulting a woman from behind, a pedophile grabbing a child and dragging them into their car, it is a cowardly act.
That you cannot see that speaks volumes.
I’s say attacking unarmed civilians on bicycles is a cowardly act. Attacking an armed patrol is not.
You’re speaking from the year 2033!
