Not exactly scary (to me), but made a few Japanese have to go home and change their pants :D

Back around 1999 (or so) I had purchased a pretty realistic alien costume that included a fitting robe (pullover with hood included) and gloves that also looked real to finish it off.

At the time, I was working in Ginza (Tokyo) and it was a weekend (Chuo-Dori (a main street) is closed down to traffic on Saturday and Sunday for Japanese shoppers and tourists).
The business I worked at was on the 5th floor facing Chuo-dori, so there were about 25 students watching out the window looking down onto the street.
(anyone who doesn’t know Japanese: they panic at anything that is unknown (or “alien” to them ;^D )
So... I ran out onto the street zig-zagging between Japanese shoppers from one end of the block to the other end, touching people on the shoulder with the alien hand as I swooped by, where I disappeared into a small hallway that led to a small elevator to go back up to my workplace.

Sadly, I wasn’t able to see the reactions of the people between point A and point B.. but the description that the students gave me of the scene was hillarious (and most of them were getting a look at the orneriness of an outside culture :D
They were telling me that there were definitely Japanese that had froze/wet their pants, a couple of faints (now I started feeling guilty :p), and MANY people running in all directions screaming (I could hear that while I was scurrying past them).

It was fun and exiting (and young and stupid) , but I will never do that again... I hope I didn’t give anyone a heart-attack :/

Well, the students got a kick out of it and enjoyed it... it also loosened them up (from their uptight culture) :~)
Apologies this wasn’t a dangerous horror experience, but I hope it was an interesting experience to share :)
And sorry there aren’t more details, I am a terrible with details :p
