Former House Speaker John Boehner shed some light on former President Barack Obama's smoking habit and his relationship with his wife Michelle in a new interview.
Boehner told Politico about his encounters with Obama in a major interview detailing his 25 years at the top of the Republican party in Washington.
Boehner summarized the differences between himself and Obama with an anecdote from a 2011 meeting between the two when it came to their vices.
Im smoking a cigarette, and they bring me a glass of merlot. And were sitting there a little while, and heres the president drinking iced tea and chomping on Nicorette," Boehner told Politico.
"What else do you need to know about the two of us?
In February 2011, Michelle Obama, a champion of healthy living during her time as First Lady, announced that her husband had quit smoking for more than a year.
Nicorette gum is used to alleviate cravings for cigarettes, which typically stop two weeks after quitting smoking.
Despite this time discrepancy, Boehner says he never saw the president sneak a cigarette, and credits that to his fear of Michelle.
Asked whether he had ever seen Obama succumb, Boehner said: Oh no. No no no. Hes scared to death of his wife. Scared. To. Death.

I would rather they disappear in the obituaries!
Ok, thanks. I know Jonathan Allen. He looks like an unborn egg.
LMAO!!!
I read an interview of the two authors, they said the original theme of the book was supposed to be how Kankles triumphed as the first woman POTUS in spite of many setbacks, etc. Both of these reporters were fans of Kankles.
The “setbacks” have a lot to do with Kankles not having a good reason to run except “I’m entitled,” and endless focus groups because she didn’t know what her message was. But the book also shines a light on the chaos and bitter in-fighting among her campaign staff, all of whom were terrified of Kankles and The Bent One (both of whom have terrible tempers).
When Kankles’ expected victory blew up in her face on election night, the authors say they only had to write/rewrite the last couple of chapters. Everything else they had written in previous chapters about the stupidty and f-tardery within Kankles’ campaign was still true.
So the book was easily finished by the authors with this new overall theme: Kankles lost BADLY against Donald Trump because she was an unlikable arrogant candidate without a real message nor reason for running, and her campaign organization was a complete DISASTER.
Happy reading!
Sounds like my kind of book!!
...”Hussein is still damaging our Republic with his goons at Organizing for Action.”.....
Oh yes....his Presidential Library layout is all about organizing and educating and riling up the youth. Along with helping illegals. Both Obamas are busy completing what they started here and on the International Stage.
Don't know about Boehner but someone close to Obama says he's hitting the bong again...a couple of times a week.
