Haven’t seen Tom Stalin’s ad, the GEICO ad you mention is nowhere near as bad as the Deal Dash or the “Sweet Caroline” Hyundai ads.
The Deal Dash ad is pretty annoying, but I only see it on stations like GSN, MeTV and others that cater to the old farts (like me). Not on national TV during the World Series.
And the "Sweet Caroline" ad, IMHO, is only bad because the idiots that made it should have had the sense to film it in Boston, not Los Angeles. Would have made some sense, at least. As a Red Sox fan who has been at Fenway to hear it live, it's kinda fun when you are there, though it is getting a bit long in the tooth.
