Thank you mairdie, but my life's a poor attempt to imitate the man.

Hummel was basically known as one of the best pianists and piano composers in his day, but he rather quickly gets forgotten—so forgotten that, well, when people today hear "Hummel" they think of little dolls rather than piano music.

I mentioned that Hummel once wrote a concerto for orchestra and mandolin, in very Classic era style. The first movement is here, the second movement here, and the third movement here.
