Sometimes I think the definition of “stalking” has turned into “any attempt to contact, see, or impress” someone who doesn’t want you to.
One of our own FReepers defines sexual harassment as any unwelcome advance, such as, “Would you like to go to dinner some time?” Or, “Can I give you a call?”
That's a good definition - and why should someone be subject to unwanted, multiple advances? In college, my older sister, who was very pretty, was "stalked" by a guy who just wouldn't give up and wouldn't take no for an answer. He was a bit of a weirdo, and even came to the house several times and became a pest. Its happened to several women I know.
It ended old school style when my older brother and a friend threatened him with a beating.
