Yes, I was talking about Wrecking Ball.

I only know because I saw it on her Wikipedia. I don’t watch the Voice or much if any Contemporary TV.

I never heard of her until some late-night news saying she'd been shot, then in the morning that she died in the hospital early the next morning I was sad to hear of it. Then ABC did a news item on her life and death and included a video of Hello. After that I'd look for her videos and play a few and learned a little more about her background.

Her family was very loving; they all moved to CA from NJ to help her advance her career. It was a little reminiscent of the Carpenters who put it all into Richard; it was a surprise for Karen's talent to unfold.

No, I never heard of the Voice either, but Wrecking Ball launched a new phase of her career. I love her long, rumpled hair and energy and spontaneity she put into it. Her manager tried to mentor and mold her but maybe she would have been better if left a free spirit even though she might not have been as well known as she was..
