Yup. If I were the owner of a team, I'd have a team meeting, and bring out some Ross Perot-style charts showing what will happen to NFL and revenue, and therefore the salary cap, if people stop buying tickets, buying gear or watching televised games. From those charts I would give an honest estimate of how much each infraction costs the NFL (lost revenue/divided by # of kneelers) and make the fine that much. I would then point out that this clown is costing both you AND me money, and we could avoid further blood-letting just by avoiding the infraction.
