You have that right. Timberlake could vaporize and it would have zero effect on the production of quality, creative music that is still out there - what little that remains, that is.

How many NFL fans actually identify with this dweeb, anyway?

Granted that I’m not sure who I would want to see at a Superbowl halftime, any more: Most of the musician’s whose work I like are dead or gettin’ too old to not be “Spinal Tap” onstage.

Maybe Blue Man Group?

Petty was probably the last good show I actually watched... Prince was ok, but not my thing... all these pop stars and rappers... sucktacular.

Thats funny that you said that. I was just thinking about some aging yet touring bands out there and thinking how much I would like to see Spinal Tap do a performance billed as its “farewell tour” for some televised event.
