I’m loving Jack Benny...Adventures of Ellery Queen is a new one...War of the Worlds is overplayed...SJW running the pro commie Blacklisted makes me think of the real world blacklist today, just ask James Woods...
How you feeling? It’s been a sunny fall weekend here...
Howdy, Vision! It’s almost Halloween! I can’t believe how this year has vanished so quickly.
Hey Gina, I’m not that festive this year about it. Haven’t gotten a pumpkin. You?
Our friend Tom gave us a Char-Broil "Big Easy" No-Oil Turkey Fryer. Keith did two chickens in it yesterday evening. Today I'm making chicken spaghetti with some of the chicken left--the Rotel/Velveeta/Cream of Mushroom soup with sharp cheddar on top kind of chicken spaghetti.
Here are some pictures of the chickens cooking in it last night:
How well do those things work?
In researching for a 4th book, (the third still in production), I spent an enormous amount of time on archive.org. I stumbled upon a program by Orson Welles done June 7th, 1944. Essentially, it was my fourth book that I was planning. I decided to change gears. Instead of that fourth book I would do a podcast. But it will e quite different. I plan on re-creating a half hour program just as if one were to tune into your local am station during the years of 1939-45. There will be a little bit of news, mostly local. A little bit of talk and a little bit of music. Since it is only a half an hour there is only so much time available to do things, right?
The music and news would be of the period and day. That is no song would be played before its time. Same as the news of the day. The local news wil be an aggragate of local news around the country on a certain day and attribute it to the local happenings around “Maytown,” so to speak.
But...I have to finish other projects first and then turn my attention to that. I want to get around ten or so episodes in the can before I make it available on itunes and blog talk radio, etc...I do need some legal advice on using period comericals on products that still might be available today...anyone have any advice on that?
Thanks in advance.
Very well. They have a small drip pan drawer at the bottom, and there’s very little mess. It’s a good “fryer.”
Cool. I don’t have any advice on that. Do you listen to Antioch? They play OTR programs to that historical calender day. FYI.
How is that possible?
It’s not actually frying, since there’s no oil. It’s open on the top, except for the mesh cover. It gets VERY hot in the chamber and cooks from the outside in, so it mimics frying with the crispiness on the outside, sealing in the moisture.
