It wouldn’t be useless to Feldman because he did report names to the police years ago and would be hit with a huge civil liability lawsuit under California law now that the statute of limitations has expired.
Naming names would protect just him.
He’s already said it’s about protecting others close to him.

I would guess he’s passing the info to someone who can bring charges without him becoming a material witness.
