PITTSBURGH - A teacher was attacked after class Wednesday: hit by a brick, dragged out of her car and assaulted.
That teacher is recovering after her kids said she was brutally attacked by the parents of a child who weren't happy with the way she handled a punishment.
"It's just ridiculous and it's horrible," said Gerald Watkins, the victim's son. "That's the way they teach their children to solve differences."
Pittsburgh King pre K-8 teacher Janice Davis Watkins was attacked Wednesday afternoon after her children said she took away one of her elementary school student's cellphone.
"There's 102 ways that you can deal with this situation and violence is not one of them," Gerald Watkins said.
Watkins' children said their mother held a conference with the student's parents Wednesday at school after the child allegedly bit their mother when she took away her cellphone Tuesday.
They allege the parents of the child threatened her during the conference, then waited for her, following her from the school all the way to Route 65 and the West End Bridge.
"As soon as she hit the red lights, they got out," Gerald Watkins said. "They threw a brick through her car. They pulled her out and assaulted her."

And while the parents get a slap on the wrist for this horrible assault, the feckless courts should, at the least, order a muzzle for the child she is forced to try to teach.

any time you throw an object like a brick or kick someone when they are on the ground, you should be automatically charged with attempted murder.

Don’t give us the name of the victim. Give us the names of the parents who assaulted the teacher!
Countdown to when the story becomes all about the victim’s son using the word “they”.
What if a white mom were to severely beat a teacher here shortly for disciplining her child? Perhaps the authorities would then feel the need to bring about severe punishment for both moms. Unless that happens pretty quickly, this story is going to die.
Via the videos you can see the teacher was black. People who attacked her are not even named which is a crime. Low low low percentage they are white due to all kinds hate crime laws.
So looks like black on black heaving of brick at teachers face. Because daughter thus mama was “disrespected” by the teacher.
If white parents had attacked a black teacher, it would be one of the top national news stories.

My understanding must be waning. I am having a problem following most news articles these days. I haven’t always had this problem. Was there pertinent information left out here? Why are they interviewing the children of the teacher? How old are the children? Nevermind. I don’t care much.

I suspect it was more like the reporter using “they,” though the two of them are probably public school graduates.
