Where Weinstein’s behavior might be in trouble is if, somewhere in this cadre of women claiming boorish behavior, there were underage girls or physical force.

Most of these women waited far, far too long to have a court case and the facts are that most got the parts and even further roles and appeared on his arm in public!

It was simply a transaction: he had something they wanted and told them in no uncertain terms, what the price of admission was!

The author addresses the part about underage females in reference to Polanski. Legally 17 year olds qualify, too, but they are old enough to be soliciting a job and career from a Producer and they are well old enough to understand the import of the tales they have heard. They are taking a chance that it won't happen to them. They also accept the rapes once they have occurred because they do not then risk throwing out their chance for wealth and celebrity by going public. Weinstein is not yet accused of raping 13 year olds or 15 year olds.
