The LBJ theory was simple and straightforward, explaining motive, opportunity and circumstances. What convinced me was his former mistress who told the interviewer that LBJ always treated her with kindness except one time when she asked him about the theory and he warned her to never, ever, mention it again. Not even in jest. She knew "the look" and he was dead serious.
