Nah. The mob wouldn’t have been able to handle the heat that would have come down on them. Oswald did it, alone and unaided. If there had been a whole conspiracy involved who in the world is going to keep their mouth shut about something like that?

That’s what I think too. I would add that if Joe Kennedy Sr. had still been running things, he wouldn’t have allowed his boys to double cross the mob. Joe was the brains of the outfit, but all he passed on to his sons was his arrogance and a sense of entitlement.
