At this point there should be a Say Something NOW! campaign if you are assaulted. We should not be in this delayed-accusation world 20 years from now.

The point being that no one has done anything to stop it for all those years, and victims have to keep on not just living with horrible memories, but sometimes experiencing incidents again, or having their friends, daughters, granddaughters or sons go through it and still, little constructive is done about it. It doesn't just happen in Hollywood. I was molested (not raped) twice in my own pleasant suburban neighborhood by the time I was 12 years old, and nothing was done or would ever be done to those individuals, and now I am over 70, having lived with the disgust all this time.
Sex harassment continued thoughout my college and career days, and didn't stop until the typical male who would have indulged in sex harassment would, when I hit 50, instead indulge in ageism and open rejection of the worth of my contributions at work, sending the message that sexual attractiveness to him was the deal breaker no matter how many millions in billings I brought in. I know I am not the only professional woman to have experienced this. One of my bosses didn't realize how old I was -- I looked younger -- and when he found out my age, his behavior changed overnight from leering to rejecting, simply based on a number.
It would be hard to tell you how disgusting and off-putting this selfish, adolescent and essentially masturbatory standard of employment policy seems to a married and happily heterosexual woman.
Even the males in Hollywood who complained about sodomy rape and named names -- nothing was done. It's not so much about sex as it is about power and exploitation. And it stinks on ice.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
I remember every moment.
I only wish it would happen once more.
