Don’t care. They’ll have to pry Win 7 from my cold dead fingers before going to Win 10.
Amen! Original Win 7 diehard here. Updates turned off. Between Eset, Malwarebytes and ADW Cleaner, never a problem.
Only way I would even consider Win 10 is if Microsoft turned off all the spying software and mandatory updates. And then I'd have to think long and hard.
Thus far, Win 10 offers me nothing I need that I already can't get via Win 7.
Win 10 is a great OS, make no mistake about it. But the "push" updates whether you want it or not and all the "telemetry", which is another word for spying, is just too much.
I volunteer at a Computer Learning Center where we have 15 Lenovo desktop PCs with Win 10. It is almost a full time job to keep up with them. I feel really sorry for IT folks who work in a Win 10 shop with hundreds of PCs. Trying to keep all those synched must be a nightmare.
I have a good friend who does corporate computer networking work under retainer. He pretty much says to his clients, "If you want to go with Win 10, please cancel our contract."
