Is it really one of the greatest shows of all time?
Or is it nostalgia of having grown up with reruns of those 6 seasons for a lifetime?
Does the humor hold up or have the plots been recycled ad nauseum to the point that they no longer elicit the same howls of laughter?
As a 7 yr old I thought the show stupid. Even at that tender age I saw the OBVIOUS faults in Lucy’s plans and that they were beneath the level of any adult with an IQ above that of a potted plant. Never got this show...
I still love the reruns -— she was very talented. Such as this quick scene - which will go down in film history imho -—

Looceee...you got a lot of splainin to do!
I finally figured out that I didn't really care for "shows about people in show business," and I find I Love Lucy unwatchable today (along with The Dick Van Dyke Show).

(FWIW, I considered William Frawley to be more entertaining than the rest of the cast.)
Never was my favorite show, but I enjoyed the travel episodes where they went to Europe or Hollywood (even though both locations were filmed in Hollywood). The William Holden and John Wayne episodes are classics.

I enjoyed watching the I Love Lucy show. IMHO it was one of the better TV shows of the day and has stood up well over time.
I Love Lucy was one of the first shows to pioneer taping the show for rerun and syndication. The idea of reruns was so novel The studio wasnt interested in it an turned it over to DesiLu Productions making DesiLu Productions tons of money.
