I don’t disagree. But would you ever dare contacting those places (especially the university) and complaining? I would love to have a front row seat to that.
I feel your pain. “They” make it hard to NOT see race.
PS: I was a 55 year old white man looking for work a couple of years ago. Every time I was a final candidate, I lost out to a black woman. Once? Sure, Twice? Ok. Three and four times...it almost made me get a tan and a week.
That sucks (the preferred minority hiring); in my experience every token (specifically the unqualified people) has white people doing the real work anyway - they are just hired to stave off lawsuits.
This issue has come to a head recently where government hiring of veterans (usually cops) has basically put many white guys in front of the preferred minorities they’d love to hire to maintain/grow the fake black middle class. Many local governments have dropped Hispanic men from the “preferred minority” list now; they have plenty of them, and most qualified on their merits. Now the focus is getting women (including white ones) and black men onto government payrolls.
