We former Bostonians have two syllabled many words that others use one.

For instance, beer is bee ah, so my hale is really hay ell (or if you prefer, heyell)

Ice from the sky is hay ill

But in deference to your creds .... Heyell Yeah !

S'cuse me ... I gutt'a go pahk my cah.

How about three syllables where others use one? At our first church service in Tennessee, the topic of the sermon was: “SEE-in-uh in the CAY-um-pah”, or so the pastor said. Great preachers here in the south; love it here!
