Limbaugh had a great point about this yesterday. Where are the Republicans and conservatives out taking advantage of the Weinstein situation to make some political capital?

You know damn well if Weinstein had been a big Republican, the left would be bashing the GOP over the head with this on every channel.

That wouldn’t be civil and polite.

I'm going to take a chance here and take a bit of a different view. Yes, absolutely this guy was an ugly, awful creep who took advantage of women. However, why didn't any of them report him to the police immediately after the fact? I suspect the bottom line is that there were many of them who were happy to go along with his demands in order to advance their careers, leading him to think his behavior was really no big deal and he'd win in the long run if he just persisted. There is a story out of the UK about a young woman he “forced” to perform oral sex on him. The woman also said that she didn't want to “fight him.” Why the hell not? I've been around long enough to remember the days when this type of aggressive behavior was not uncommon, and there were lots of men who got punched or slapped for their efforts. I doubt if Weinstein would have reacted violently in return—he would have too much to lose.
