my uninformed imagining is that all non-civilian video was immediately impounded by police and the feds as part of the investigation. kind of like a black hole. evidence in, garbage out.

i wonder why the LV sheriff appeared so annoyed in the press conference(s)?

exactly when did LE know that their original doctored timeline was garbage? and what accounts for the delay in reporting the error in the timeline?

I’m certain the police have all that. But these have to be digital files, not magnetic tape like back in the day. Likely installed drives, not removable media, maybe even all uploaded to a cloud server. Everything can be duplicated as clean as the original recording. Could the police actually impound all original hard drives leaving the entire enterprise unprotected?
