I thought I would share our joy with the other patriotic FReepers on here. Sure was a fun day watching many fine young men and women commit to service to our country. Good job raising good young men, and congratulations.
I am retired USAF myself. In December my son heads to Lackland AFB, TX, for Air Force Officer Training School, then off to undergraduate pilot training. He wants to fly either C-130J, C-5B, C-17, C-21, or KC-10. I hope he does well too, since the Air Force is 1,500 pilots short. At first, he wanted to be a nuclear weapons maintenance officer, but decided he would rather be a pilot.

Neither of my sons showed any interest in the military, but I am pleased as all get out that they are two of the hardest working rednecks I've ever seen.
I can feel your righteous pride all the way over here, Mark.
Congratulations

Very good! It is imperative that we have good men and women in our Armed Forces.
Please thank him for his service and sacrifice to our country. There is no doubt that he will be a great asset.
