From what I can tell, Ivana was not trying to pretend to hold the office of First Lady, but was simply using a play on words that she was in fact President Trump’s First Lady, as in his personal life.

Ivana was on Fox & Friends this morning and she told Ainsley (sp?) that she is NOT the first lady, she is the first Mrs. Donald Trump.
Completely agree. When you watch the clip, it's clear Ivana was joking. The MSM is trying to stir things up, as usual.

Words like “slammed” is just media foolishness. From the context she was joking and probably wanted to say first wife. Melania doesn’t strike me as the type of “slam” her for that. Temp might though hahah

Melanie is a very classy lady. Her statement about using her office to help children instead of selling books was a classy comeback. I might add that Hillary could take that advice too.
