Read the comments! The country that took in millions of poor Paddies (including my own) is again vilifying the United States. The lack of gratitude, the flagrant bad manners of the Irish should be brought to Mr. Trump’s attention. We could do with less of them. They crawl all over NYC - legal and illegal - and are a cause of consternation when brought here on exchange student visas.

Some of my ancestors claimed Scot/Irish descent. I don’t have proof, but believe the family tradition. ( I do have DNA evidence it is true, with a lot of others mixed.)

Actually, I can do what I want - and the Irish are a miserable people - left wing, anti-American fools. Of course they do, they’re descended from Scotsmen who emigrated to the Emerald Isle. Not that today’s Scotland has anything to brag about, they’re just as muzzified and secularized as the rest of UK.
But the persnicketiness of the Irish has never changed.
The Irish lefties still like calling him “Che Guevara Lynch” either way.
And the commies were among the first terrorists of the last century too.
The normal Irish (of the time) merely wanted home rule, which they were getting as soon as the First World War came to an end—but the communists pushed for full independence, and ended up prolonging the war with their stupid 1916 rebellion, basically siding with the Axis by doing that.
Vast majority of Irish forget that they had full representation in the Westminster parliament. Irish politicians had power to direct the course of the British Empire. Sadly, their ideology led it into the proverbial “dustbin of history”, along with English, Scottish and Welsh politicians who were sympathetic to that left-wing garbage.
And the “Republic” of Ireland has not been independent since 1972; the Third Amendment to Ireland’s constitution puts European Union law supreme above Irish law.
