ESPN Faces Liberal Boycott After Suspending Jemele Hill
ESPN had a huge, profitable niche pretty much all to itself - sports coverage. Neutral, appeals to everyone, no realistic competition anywhere in sight.
That's what got them acquired by ABC and Disney. You'd think they'd have happily exploited that niche and continued making millions. But nooooo. They just had to dive into left-wing social and political issues, alienating and driving away most of their audience to chase the elusive sliver of left-wing ideologues who also happen to enjoy sports.
And now they're discovering that the left-wing demands ideological purity - even if that means sanctioning attacks on the advertisers that keep ESPN in business. I can only laugh - the idiots who managed to drive ESPN into these straits should all have their MBAs shoved up their collective butt.

Think of ESPN’s mass suicide as “social change in action”. :-)
