Fashion designer Donna Karan has come to her pal Harvey Weinstein‘s defense in a bold way – saying sexually harassed women may be “asking for it” by dressing seductively, according to the Daily Mail.
“You look at everything all over the world today and how women are dressing and what they are asking by just presenting themselves the way they do. What are they asking for? Trouble,” she told the British tabloid in a red-carpet interview at the CinéFashion Film Awards in LA.
“To see it here in our own country is very difficult, but I also think how do we display ourselves? How do we present ourselves as women? What are we asking? Are we asking for it by presenting all the sensuality and all the sexuality?”
The DKNY founder, who is friends with Weinstein’s wife, fashion designer Georgina Chapman, described the couple as “wonderful people,” adding: “Harvey has done some amazing things.”
Asked if Weinstein had been “busted,” she reportedly smiled and told the paper, “I don’t think it’s only Harvey Weinstein.”
Please do. I’m thinking though, that Weinstein somehow made the transition from “right” kind of person to “wrong” kind of person. I wonder who he crossed?

Weinstein has same accent and coarseness and ill manners as my ex husband in law who was a Russian Jew raised in Flushing not too far from Harvey
He had a quick wit though
I lived in Manhattan long ago
You can pick up on accents and manners from similar neighborhoods
Like I can tell a black from the Mississippi delta or a white person from Metarie versus say the north shore of Ponchatrain and so forth
An ashkhenazim ethnic Jew from where Harvey is from will be markedly different in speech and manners than say upper west side Manhattan or Scarsdale
